Welcome to the Art of
Alan Rosenfeld
“I’ve always been fascinated by movement on stage and screen by dance. The camera seems to love to sway and move with the dancer and capture the emotion of the moment.”
My ballet series of images were Generative AI using various ‘prompts’ to achieve the results I was looking for. For example: ‘ballet dancers dancing in low lighted office filled with water’.
Expressions of Interest
My short film of a ballet dancer preparing for her performance.
“I picked up a camera when I was eight years old and since then have taken a photograph almost every day of my life of something, anything.”
Once I was comfortable ‘prompting’, I began exploring more styles through history including well known artists. I wanted to see what a maze of AI thoughts would come up with. I was surprised.
“To continue with my office filled with water study, I next sought to prompt beautifully painted geisha in long robes flowing through the water.”
Nineteen
During the pandemic, I turned my frustrations of the lockdown into art. I wanted to juxtapose bodybags with a mirrored room like the one at Versailles along with the Venetian masks.
“Even with the pandemic in full swing, I found it within me to create beauty on my own laptop.”

Photography
Some of my work around town here in Vancouver. I use to run around with a big SLR. Now I’m satisfied with my iPhone camera.
